Founder & Clinical Director
Dr. Noreen Dera
Dr. Noreen founded Abantu Therapy and Psychological services in 2021 to provide timely, accessible and culturally-sensitive psychological services. She is a qualified clinical Psychologist with over 12 years experience working in the mental health sector. She strives to provide high quality evidence-based therapies and psychological assessments to help people navigating psychological and emotional distress. Her practice centres the story behind the person and honours the heritage, values and lived experiences as tools for unlocking psychological wellbeing and healing.
She also provides research consultancy, training and supervision for individuals and organisations.

Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Jane Mugadza
Dr. Jane is skilled in helping people facing challenges with their mental health and well-being. Using evidence-based therapies, she works with clients to understand and work on mental health and/or difficult life problems.
She uses various therapeutic models with a focus on establishing rapport and building a trusting relationship. This involves creating a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to express themselves and discuss their concerns. She strives to create a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship that empowers clients to explore their concerns and make positive changes.
Dr. Jane has availability to on Monday and Tuesday Evenings and Friday day time.​

Health Psychologist
Dr. Sian Armstrong
Dr. Armstrong is a HCPC registered Health Psychologist. With professional experience working in both the NHS and private practice, she provides specialist psychological assessments and delivered psychotherapy. Dr Armstrong utilises several therapeutic approaches such as CBT, ACT and CFT to help clients experiencing psychological distress. She also conducts expert witness assessments for personal injury cases and volunteers in global health project.

Her areas of expertise include: anxiety, depression, chronic pain, traumatic injury, cancer, stroke rehabilitation, weight management, disability and loss.

Dr Sian has immediate availability to see new clients on Monday and Tuesday mornings.​

Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Laura Selema
Dr. Laura Selema is a qualified clinical psychologist who uses an integrative, person-centred approach, rooted in compassion, collaboration, curiosity, and empathy. With expertise across a range of psychological and therapeutic methods, she empowers clients to improve their overall wellbeing. Dr. Laura has worked with individuals across the lifespan, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and neurodiverse conditions like ADHD and autism, and has extensive experience in learning disability services.

Dr. Laura has availability to see clients on Mondays and Wednesday evenings.

Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Ashley Dunira
Dr. Ashley is an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with extensive in NHS services, charities, and grassroots organisations. Taking a holistic, strengths-based, and person-centred approach, she ensures that her support is tailored to meet the individual needs of each client. With compassion and collaboration at the heart of her work, Dr. Ashley draws on a range of psychological models to provide flexible and effective assistance. She has a keen interest in systems work and family therapy, helping individuals navigate their relationships and social environments to enhance their well-being.
Dr. Ashley also has extensive experience supporting neurodiverse individuals, including those with learning disabilities, autism, and ADHD. She is dedicated to making thoughtful adjustments to ensure her services are accessible and welcoming for all.
Dr. Ashley currently offers appointments on Thursdays and Saturdays

Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Evie Bamigade
Dr Evie is an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist who offers a calm, reflective and culturally aware space for people seeking clarity, confidence and a stronger sense of themselves. Her approach is trauma informed and neuro-affirming.
She draws on CBT, ACT, DBT skills, narrative, systemic and psychodynamic ideas to support anxiety, low mood, burnout, self doubt and major life transitions. She works well with high achievers who appear to cope outwardly but feel overwhelmed or disconnected inside, and she also supports people with eating, body image, identity and belonging concerns.
With experience across the lifespan, including neurodivergent clients and those with intellectual disabilities, she offers an inclusive and accessible service. She also guides parents managing children’s eating and feeding challenges.
Clients can expect a collaborative, grounding therapeutic relationship.
Dr Evie currently offers Friday appointments and limited Monday evenings, with more evening slots likely in early 2026.
